Our Rehab Journey Begins

As I sit here writing my monthly dog, all three dogs are chilling out in the coolest spots of the house. My old girl, who is 14 years old on the 4 July, is just by the door to my office, Joy is just outside in the hall, and Dasher is at the bottom of the stairs. It’s a sweltering day, so they are sensibly trying to stay cool. We were up early this morning before the sun's heat kicked in, and we managed to get some training in before tomorrow, Dasher’s big day, when he goes to have his operation on his shoulders. We were going on the 25th, but one thing and another, it was decided Dasher would go tomorrow instead. Thank you to all those who sent me their best wishes for Monday, but we are still on tenterhooks.

I am so pleased we have such a good relationship with our vet. He was brilliant, showed us the scans, and discussed the possible outcomes. Robert was jealous of the latest technology, and I think he would have loved to have owned a scan when he owned his practice in Cambridge. Even if you haven’t got a vet for a husband, I know your vet would love to share his knowledge with you, so don’t forget to ask during your appointment. It’s so important to have a good rapport with your vet.
